The Research Laboratory for Composite Materials and Environmental Chemistry (LCMEC) is a scientific hub dedicated to cutting-edge research in materials science, polymer engineering, and environmental chemistry. Located within the Faculty of Materials and Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, our laboratory brings together passionate researchers, experienced faculty, and innovative students.

Our mission is to explore and develop advanced composite materials and sustainable technologies that contribute to a cleaner environment and a smarter future. We specialize in the study and transformation of polymers, biomaterials, and nanomaterials, as well as the analysis and remediation of environmental pollutants.

Through interdisciplinary research and national and international collaboration, we provide scientific solutions for both academic advancement and industrial applications. Our projects span from eco-friendly hydrogels and recyclable plastics to high-performance materials and pollutant degradation methods.
